SPREADING THE LIGHT THAT STILL SHINES BRIGHT ~

Together at Peace Foundation's mission is to support hopeful bereavement care for individuals and families across the country by delivering Together at Peace comfort kits and fundraising grants to hospitals, hospice centers and other organizations to share with those who have experienced a loss, support bereavement care programs they have in place, and inspire new initiatives.

To help move people from coping to hoping, inspiring a community of connection as we move forward WITH their spirits. We are an inspiration for finding signs of peace, sharing stories of “the little things” (knowing they are the big things) and doing good in honor of their love and spirit.

    As I walked through the woods listening to the sounds of birds and frogs and enjoying the spring flowers coming to life I stopped for a moment and gazed up at the gigantic trees surrounding us and there was a hawk circling above us. It immediately brought tears to my eyes and confirmed that the hawk is my sign from my dad and I felt him so much in that moment. Then I smiled and thought of Together at Peace.

    I never had the chance to meet my Grandma and because of that, I always had this sense I didn’t really know her. It wasn’t until I started reading stories on Together at Peace about the ways we can stay connected with someone we lost, whether or not we knew them at all. I realized that something as simple as a cookie recipe helps me feel connected to my Grandma Pauline. I didn’t have to know everything about her in order to feel the warmth of her spirit even now. We share something together, this tradition, even after life.
