How LE remembers her dad, Tim Healy: A Legacy of Laughter, Love, and Cheesy Eggs

LE Healy, our incredible intern at Together at Peace, shares a deeply personal tribute to her father, Tim Healy, a man whose presence was larger than life and whose memory continues to shine through the people who loved him most.

At Together at Peace, we are honored to share the story of Tim Healy, a man remembered for his warmth, wit, and an unforgettable breakfast recipe called “Cheesy Eggs.” Tim lived a life full of joy and intention, and the memories shared by his family offer a glimpse into a heart that beat for adventure, laughter, and love.

Tim was a man of many passions. He loved to ski, hike in National Parks, play golf and soccer, and was known to bust a move on the dance floor—despite admitting it wasn’t his strongest talent. A true music lover, he used Shazam to stay up-to-date with songs from favorite artists like Dave Matthews Band, Van Morrison, Coldplay, and U2. His car was a concert on wheels—blaring music and singing along, especially when his kids’ friends were along for the ride.

He was a grill master known for perfectly cooked shrimp and scallops, a connoisseur of wine, and the creative genius behind “Cheesy Eggs”—a breakfast dish made from egg whites, cheese, and whatever leftovers he could find in the fridge. His family lovingly admits they all pretended to like them, a small act of devotion to the dad they adored.

More than anything, Tim loved his family deeply. He inspired his children with simple yet powerful reminders:

“Do your best.”

“You are no better than the person standing next to you.”

Even after his passing, Tim continues to bring his family together. On his birthday each year, they gather to sing Happy Birthday and celebrate with cake. On the anniversary of his passing, they spend the day side by side—holding each other close and honoring his memory as a united family.

Tim’s legacy is felt in the kindness his children extend to others, the courage they show in the face of fear, and the gratitude they carry into each new day. Signs of his presence still show up when they need him most—through rainbows, sunsets, and songs that feel like a little wave from heaven.

His story reminds us that love doesn’t end—it continues in the little things, the laughter, and the lessons we carry forward. And in those moments of beauty and connection, we find peace.
